Marek Ranis is a marketing consultant with 14 years of experience working predominately with Fortune 500 technology clients. He has consulted extensively to clients such as Adobe, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, SAP, Sun Microsystems and other technology vendors on marketing and strategic issues related to product management throughout all stages of life cycle, channel and partner strategy, and competitive strategy. Marek is a former consultant of a Big-4 consulting firm where he established and managed a new practice area. For a number of years, he was a BBC Correspondent for U.S. Economic and Political Affairs. For two years, he acted as a Special Adviser to the Secretary of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, where he specialized in EU trade policies. Currently, Marek is a Partner at a technology marketing consulting firm, Pique Solutions. He is based in San Francisco, California.
